Vision
Jointly organized by HKYHA and Ngong Ping 360, Ngong Ping Charity Walk 2010 aims to raise the awareness of the public on the importance of the preservation of natural environment, and to promote parent-child outdoor fun and healthy lifestyle while at the same time, raising fund for environmental protection, cultural exchange and youth development projects for the benefit of family and young people.

Lantau Island is chosen as the event location because it is a priority spot for the preservation of natural environment and cultural landscape including Shek Pik reservoir, mangroves, Po Lin Monastery, Tian Tan Buddha Statue, Wisdom Path and Ngong Ping Village. Participants can experience the natural beauty of the island and to appreciate the cultural scenery along the route.

Incorporated in 1973, HKYHA is a registered non-profit organization that aims to provide travelers with safe, comfortable and friendly accommodations at an affordable price, while promoting multicultural exchange and arousing public awareness for the care of nature.
